A Life Remembered

The launch of the "Andrea Kearney Fund" on Sunday 9 November at the Radisson Hotel in Glasgow was a very special evening. The evening was hosted by Andrea's brother-in-law, "River City" actor Tony Kearney.

Among those performing were; Johnny Beattie, Ricky Ross and Lorraine

McIntosh, singer/songwriter Lou Hickey, Gaelic singer Kathleen MacInnes and classical guitar player Stephen Dowling.

Also in attendance were Cardinal Keith O'Brien and Bishop Philip Tartaglia. In his opening remarks, Cardinal O’Brien praised Andrea’s selfless concern for others and urged all those present to contribute generously to the fund which would carry out exactly the type of work she would have endorsed.

Raffles, donations and a glittering auction which included Eileen MacCallum and Johnny Beattie being "auctioned" by Tony Kearney, as dinner guests at a meal with the winning bidder all contributed towards a total of £15,000 being raised on the night.
